Youthset is a safe space and a community hub in St. Cloud, MN where young people are empowered through mentorship, opportunity, leadership, and unconditional support.

Youthset’s mission is to bridge the gaps between youth, school, home life, positive role models, and the community by bringing young people together to feel empowered with choice, strengthen their leadership and skill development, and become upstanding members of their community.

Youthset started in 2019 when founder Tyrone Reynolds opened a gym to local teens looking for a safe place to hang out. What began with pickup basketball games grew into Teen Zone, a hub where teens could eat, learn, and be mentored. Today, Youthset serves approximately 100 teens each year, offering transportation, daily meals, mentorship, and innovative programs that bridge the gap between school, home, and community.

Meet the Executive Director
TYRONE REYNOLDS
ENTREPRENEUR I NONPROFIT LEADER | YOUTH ADVOCATE | COMMUNITY BUILDER
Tyrone Reynolds is a visionary entrepreneur and community leader with over 15 years of experience in youth development, nonprofit leadership, and innovative programming. As the founder and executive director of Youthset, Tyrone has made it his life’s mission to empower underserved teens through mentorship, life skills, leadership training, job readiness, and community support.
His journey began at just 12 years old as a youth staff member and evolved into leadership roles with the YMCA and other organizations across Minnesota. In 2019, Tyrone brought his dream to life by launching YouthSet—an organization rooted in love, opportunity, and unity. Since then, he has impacted hundreds of teens through after-school programs, summer camps, mental health support, entrepreneurship opportunities, and Teen Zone, a flagship initiative that now serves as a trusted teen hub in Central Minnesota.
In 2023, Tyrone expanded his vision with the launch of the YouthSet Teen Center in St. Cloud. His leadership has earned recognition from schools, city leaders, and youth advocates. His work spans across Sherburne and Stearns Counties, with strong partnerships in education, social services, and grassroots organizing. Known for his ability to turn vision into reality, Tyrone blends business savvy with heart-led purpose, always centering young people at the core of everything he builds.
In his free time, Tyrone enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, planning creative events, cooking, traveling, and finding new ways to make an impact in the community.
